Christmas was fantastic and exhausting! Isn't that usually the case? We were really lucky to have been able to spend the holidays with both my family as well as Jason's, including his grandparents. Jackson got somewhat into Santa Claus this year. For most of the month of December, we encouraged good behavior with the ELF ON THE SHELF. I have to say, it really worked! He did a great job meeting Santa at the Children's Museum and even told him that he wanted a helicopter for Christmas. Lo and behold when Christmas arrived, Jackson got not just 1 helicopter but 4 of them (from Santa himself along with several elves)! Thanks to everyone who surprised Jackson with such wonderful and thoughtful gifts! We know that we are truly blessed to have such loving friends and family!
Each year around Christmas, we also try to get together with Jason's cousins, Heather & Stacey along with their families. We had a wonderful visit with them! Jackson had the chance to play with all of his cousins (Alex, Thomas, Matthew, Sarah & Will) and we got some great photos of them altogether. I included a picture of Jackson sleeping with his light saber - courtesy of the Smiths - so you can get an idea of just how much fun he did have! In a nutshell, he was asleep for the car ride back to Gran and Poppy's house less than 5 minutes after getting him buckled in his seat.
In early January, Jason and I had our ultrasound appointment for baby #2. The ultrasound went great with only one surpise! Drum roll please...we are having another BOY! We couldn't be more happy as demonstrated particularly by Jason when we left the doctor's office. He let out a very LOUD yell of excitement and jubilee! Now we are working hard at choosing a name. It appears that this will be quite the challenge this time around. So stay tuned!
